Gift Aid Envelopes
The UK Government helps charities by adding to the money given to charity by people who pay tax in the UK. Ichthus has new Gift Aid envelopes to help claim this.
If you don’t pay tax in the UK, you don’t need to use or fill in a Gift Aid envelope.
If you do pay UK, please fill in all parts of the new envelope. This will be able to be used by Ichthus as your updated Gift Aid Declaration.
Please make sure you sign the envelope in Part A.
Please leave the Gift Designation line blank this time – this means any money you give to Ichthus in any event (Sunday morning, celebration, Revive, Missions etc) we can claim Gift Aid for. Don’t worry! We will make sure your gifts given on this Sunday morning go to the Ichthus congregation they are given at.
Please choose ONLY one option in Part B (numbered 1, 2 OR 3).
If you choose Option 1, you will have to complete the whole envelope next time you give; BUT
If you choose Options 2 or 3 (all donations – now on or now and in the past 4 years) you will only need to fill in Part A next time you give using an envelope. You must make sure though that you pay enough tax each year to cover the amount of your charitable giving.
Please fill in the envelope if you are a tax payer and normally make gifts to Ichthus, even if you aren’t making a gift to Ichthus today. Please complete the declaration in Part B that best applies to your normal giving pattern.
If you are joining your congregation and want to make a Gift Aid declaration, simply complete the Gift Aid envelope to make your Gift Aid declaration and put it in with the offering. You can just write in the amount ‘ standing order’ if they are going to give by bank transfer etc.
