Outreach

To The Streets!

New Life Church has a strong commitment to the local community of East Greenwich, where we seek to be available to people who are looking for spiritual advice or direction, prayer or practical help. That is why you may have seen us in colourful hats and aprons giving away free tea, coffee and hot chocolate, either down Woolwich Road, around the student residences or in Greenwich itself.

We can be found doing this most Thursdays at 5.30pm outside the Co-op to blessing our community with free drinks, being a friendly face for all who want to stop for a chat, giving away free leaflets and Bibles if you want to learn more about Jesus, offering prayer for any physical, spiritual or practical needs you may have, to invite people to our Sunday morning church meetings, but most importantly to let people know that Jesus exists and that He loves them!

The Jesuscourse

FullSizeRenderNew Life is committed as a fellowship to sharing faith in Jesus with our neighbours, friends, work colleagues and family members. We want to be witnesses to Jesus in all the different spheres of our life and relationships. Running the Jesuscourse presents us with opportunities to invite those we know into a friendly and informal setting where people may mexplore the Christian faith and the meaning of life.

The course consists of a series of talks asking questions such as “Why do people suffer? How do I know God exists? Who is Jesus?” After each talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion where people may ask questions and chat about the subject generally.
