Reaching out with the Love of Jesus on our streets
New Life Church has a strong commitment to the local community of East Greenwich, where we seek to be available to people who are looking for spiritual advice or direction, prayer or practical help. You may have seen us giving away free tea and coffee in and around the Woolwich Road or at the Greenwich Centre.
Our heart is to be a blessing to our community: whether that is offering free drinks or being a friendly face for all who want to stop for a chat. We offer prayer to those we meet for any physical, spiritual or practical needs as well as inviting people to our Sunday morning church meetings at Halstow Primary School. Most importantly we seek to let people know that Jesus exists and that He loves them!
New Life is committed as a fellowship to sharing faith in Jesus with our neighbours, friends, work colleagues and family members. We want to be witnesses to Jesus in all the different spheres of our life and relationships. Running the Jesuscourse presents us with opportunities to invite those we know into a friendly and informal setting where people may explore the Christian faith and the meaning of life.
The course consists of a series of talks asking questions such as “Why do people suffer? How do I know God exists? Who is Jesus?” After each talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion where people may ask questions and chat about the subject generally.
